I began this course feeling anxious and excited. I walk away feeling confident, inspired, and ready for more! Most eight-week courses can be overwhelming but are also rewarding in the end. Little did I know that Twitter had an educational side! I knew of teachers who would tweet, but I had no idea about Twitter chats!
From this course and from Professor Zumpano, I learned so much more than just the basics of technology. Before this course, I thought I was competent with the tools of technology, but this class opened up a whole new door. Not only did I learn from Professor Zumpano, but also from my fellow classmates. I am sure that there are many educators like me who feel competent in educational tools of technology that could use a course like this.
I am still exploring ways to incorporate technology usage in early childhood since it is my current age group/classroom. Through this course, I discovered different tools that I will definitely be utilizing in the future. Creating content curations on Participate is a great way to share multiple resources on topics. A couple of my favorite topics included the professional learning network and digital mapping. Digital mapping really made me reflect on the time I spent with technology. And the professional learning network allowed me to connect to many different educators without having to meet them in person.
It has been a whirlwind, jam-packed eight weeks, but it was definitely worth it! Thank you, Professor Zumpano!
